🎓 Aula de Inglês: Entendendo a Adele
A Adele usa muito o passado nesta música para falar de arrependimentos. Note a pronúncia dos verbos terminados em -ED:
• Called (Liguei) – Pronúncia: (Cóld) – O “e” é mudo!
• Tried (Tentei) – Pronúncia: (Tráid)
• Happened (Aconteceu) – Pronúncia: (Rráp-nd)
No trecho “To go over everything”, ela usa este Phrasal Verb para dizer que quer “passar a limpo” ou revisar tudo o que aconteceu entre eles.
Pronúncia: (Ai mâs-tâv). É a contração de “I must have”. Usamos para falar de algo que temos quase certeza que fizemos no passado.
A Adele canta: “But I ain’t done much healing”. “Ain’t” é uma gíria informal que substitui “am not”, “is not” ou “have not”.
Pronúncia: (Tér iú a-párt). Esta expressão significa causar uma dor emocional muito forte.
“Are running out of time”. Usamos “run out of” sempre que algo está acabando (tempo, dinheiro, café…).
